Resignations
It is with sadness that ArabTRUST announce the resignations of Davie Lowe, Norman McFarlane and Mark McMahon.
Davie Lowe has been a member of ArabTRUST since 2003. He was co-opted and later elected on to the Board at the ArabTRUST AGM in April 2013. He has served as Secretary until his recent resignation.
Norman McFarlane became involved with ArabTRUST at the initial formation stages and is a Foundation Member, holding membership number 6. He was co-opted onto the Board in 2007 and held the position of Minute Secretary until his recent resignation.
Mark McMahon is currently Secretary of The Federation of Dundee United Supporters Clubs and is also one of the founder members of the Arctic Arabs. Until his resignation he served as Federation DUSC Rep on the ArabTRUST Board.
Chairman Grant McKenzie has said of the resignations "I am of course very sad to see such valued board members resign. Both myself and the ArabTRUST Board respect their decisions.
"Davie Lowe has served as Secretary with distinction and we thank him for all he has done for the Trust. I also want to personally thank Davie for all his help during my time on the Board and during my recent appointment to the Chair.
"Mark McMahon has done a huge amount for ArabTRUST, Dundee United and it's supporters. He has my respect and admiration. He has performed the role of Federation Rep tremendously and I am sad to see him leave the Trust Board.
"Norman McFarlane has been a very important member of the board throughout his time. Performing the sometimes laborious task of Minutes Secretary can be a thankless task. I want to thank him for his professionalism and diligence in performing the role. I would also personally like to thank him for bringing his expertise which will be sorely missed. He has brought such an enormous amount to the Trust and I can't thank him enough for that."
Grant ended by saying "I want to once again thank all three for their contributions to ArabTRUST and to express our sadness at their resignations. On behalf of the board I wish them all the best in the future."
