Managerial Change at Tannadice

Managerial Change at Tannadice
03 Oct

Recent results and performances have simply not been acceptable to anyone with the best interests of the Club at heart and this has inevitably resulted in our Club seeking their 5th Manager in only 3 years.

ArabTRUST support the decision made by the DUFC Board in pursuing a new Manager to help the Club achieve promotion this season and we would hope that the recruitment process undertaken by the Club will ensure that aim.

With so much to play for until the end of the season, it is vital that the team, Laurie Ellis, and any future permanent Manager have the full backing of the supporters during the remainder of this season to give Dundee United the best opportunity in gaining promotion.

It has been extremely frustrating for everyone associated with the Club, particularly those fans who continue to show so much loyalty. We all want our Club to return to top flight football and although we cannot change the recent results, we can however be the 12th man in the stands to improve the atmosphere at games to encourage the players.

There is no doubt that there are tough challenges ahead facing Mike Martin and the DUFC Board but we urge them to take time to assess all options available to maximise the right managerial appointment. We hope further investment will be secured soon, but nevertheless, ArabTRUST will continue to have a positive working relationship with the Club while at the same time continue to raise questions, concerns and challenge the Club as and when we feel it is appropriate.
