Thursday evening saw the ArabTRUST Annual General Meeting held in Club 83.

Chairman Steven Hughes welcomed members to the meeting and thanked them for their attendance before beginning his Chairman's Update. He outlined the achievements of the past year including the continued sponsorship of Dundee Schools' Football Association Primary Leagues which has now reached a decade. He also discussed the Trust's investment in the GA Engineering Arena which has brought ArabTRUST's investment total in Dundee United to over £250,000.

Following the Chairman's Update was Associate Director Colin Stewart who updated members on his role within the club as their representative. He spoke of ArabTRUST's role in supporting Youth football at Dundee United such as the sponsorship of new mini-buses. Furthermore, he spoke of the Community projects which have benefited from the Trust's support.

The next item on the Agenda was the elections of David Mulholland, Gavin Muir and David Baxter. All were re-elected to the Trust Board by unanimous show of hands. All three wish to express their thanks to the members for supporting their re-elections.

Treasurer Gavin Muir talked members through his update. He outlined the strong financial performance of ArabTRUST which has allowed continued investment in Dundee United. He took members through each cost listed in the accounts and explained the basis for our strong financial position with special thanks going to Merchandise Coordinator David Baxter and all volunteers who give up their time to man the Tangerine Trading Posts in Tannadice. Gavin also spoke of upcoming plans to give support to Dundee United and the United For All Charity. The ArabTRUST Accounts can be accessed by members here.

Discussions then turned to recent events and were opened up to questions from the floor. Chairman Steven Hughes and Associate Director Colin Stewart gave a detailed account of events and took questions from members. We were also grateful to have in attendance representatives of the Federation of Dundee United Supporters Clubs who were able to give their views to members on the background to recent developments. Many subjects were covered and the actions of the two groups were constructively scrutinised. The Board are heartened to have received strong support from the members. Associate Director Colin Stewart spoke of the club's current financial position and gave members the club's projected business performance going forward.

The meeting was closed following further contributions from the Board and members. Chairman Steven Hughes thanked all for their support through the past year and thanked them for their attendance.

The Board of ArabTRUST wish to express their sincere gratitude to all ArabTRUST members and wish to thank those in attendance who expressed their support for the Board. Chairman Steven Hughes said "It was heartening and encouraging to see so many members at the AGM. We all appreciate and are heartened by their support. We continue to look to do our utmost in representing them and achieving the aims and objectives of ArabTRUST starting with supporting the team this Saturday against Hamilton."
