Society Board: Norman McFarlane

Norman’s first match was in 1963 when United had the famous two horizontal stripes! The records state that it was the 19 October and Celtic won 3-0, but who cares about the score, he still has the programme!

If he has a United claim to fame, it’s that he features, along with thousands of other Arabs, on the closing Hampden sequence in the Goal and the Glory!

Norman is an accountant with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) in Dundee and first became involved with ArabTRUST at the initial formation stages and is a Foundation Member, holding membership number 6. His current term started on 18 September 2007 when he was co-opted onto the Board and he currently holds the position of Minute Secretary, which is exciting enough for an accountant!

Norman lives with his two sons in Dundee, all season ticket holders in the George Fox.
