The Youth Academy players at St John’s High School, Dundee joined us yesterday when United legend and ArabTRUST foundation member, Jim McLean paid a visit to the school.
The visit was organised to recognise his generous decision to donate the proceeds of the recent Dinner at the Caird Hall to the Youth System and to highlight ArabTRUST’s fund raising efforts on behalf of the Academy.
All of the youngsters were presented with their ArabTRUST membership certificates and are pictured with Jim.
Since its inception, ArabTRUST has donated some £170,000 to United, with the prime focus of helping to fund youth development. This will be further boosted by sales of exclusive autographed Jim McLean Legend t-shirts, all of which were signed by the man himself yesterday.
The next ArabTRUST fund raising event on behalf of the Academy is a Comedy Night at Club 83, Dundee on the 7th of October - tickets are priced at just £10.
Furthermore, this week’s EGM and Q&A with Chairman Stephen Thompson and Manager Peter Houston takes place this Thursday at 7pm in Club 83, Dundee.
