After months of coming close every time, Andy Webster has at last been voted ArabTRUST Player of the Month December 2009 with 54%.
As per the 'gentlemen's agreement', Andy didn't feature in the two fixtures against Rangers where the team conceded 10 goals over the two games.
However, he did play in United's 3-2 victory against St.Mirren, our 0-0 draws against Hearts and Kilmarnock and our 1-0 defeat to Aberdeen.
In a month that most Arabs and United players would rather forget, Andy Webster was a solid and dependable key influence who also wore the Captain's arm-band against Aberdeen, Kilmarnock, and Hearts. He is never shy at making sure that all of the team are doing what they are supposed be to doing, with or without the arm-band. He is a natural leader as well as a major asset on the park and no doubt a prime contender of the DUFC Federation Player of the Season Award.
