ArabTRUST members are given notice that the following positions on the Society’s Board have been identified as requiring re-election by the members at the Annual General Meeting to be held on Saturday 27th February 2010 at 12 noon in Club 83, St. Salvador St. Dundee, namely:
• Michael Barile, Board Member
• Alastair Brodie, Board Member
In accordance with the standing election rules adopted by the Board, nominations are invited for election to these positions by the nominations return date of 23rd January 2010. To ensure the independence of the election process, the ArabTRUST has appointed Mr Stuart Galloway, who is a professional elections officer, to act as Returning Officer for this election. Mr Galloway has kindly agreed to give his services free of charge to the Society.
As fully set out in the election rules, nominations are open from all current ArabTRUST members and must be made on the official nomination form available HERE as a download (also available from the Society Secretary on request) proposed by 2 current ArabTRUST members. Nominees’ and proposers’ attention is drawn to the notes accompanying the nomination form.
One of the current Board members standing down is understood to be seeking re-election and there are also 2 vacant positions. Only if there are more nominations received than current vacancies will a postal ballot of the membership be held. If required, the provisional timetable for the postal ballot and election is as follows:

Approx. 13/02/10 Closing date for return of postal ballots
Week beginning 15/02/10 Count (open to candidates and observers)
Saturday 27th February 2010 AGM to approve election result
